Show off underwater skills at Scuba Olympics

The city of Largo Aquatics Division will host the "Scuba Olympics" at noon on Saturday, at the Southwest Pool Complex, 13120 Vonn Road. The event is sponsored by the Professional Association of Dive Operators.

The competition is designed for teams of two people who are both certified in junior or advanced open water scuba. Proceeds from the event will support a new Special Olympic swim team program at Southwest Pool this summer.

Fully suited participants will be timed while executing a variety of skills including a buddy safety tow, three-legged race, underwater bicycle race and a balloon lift from 17 feet of water.
